The basic unit
for our impression is the 7th Infantry Regiment’s Intelligence Section (S-2) and the Intelligence & Reconnaissance Platoon. The intelligence section and platoon's
organization is based on the U.S. Army Table's of Organization and Equipment (TO&E) as of (December 1943). It consists of a platoon headquarters section (including S-2) and two reconnaissance squads. The S-2 section works well for living history displays and at
some tactical events. The intelligence and reconnaissance platoon can serve well at living history displays, most tactical
events, and can function much like a rifle platoon.
